Radio Presenter Training Course

Welcome to the Radio Presenter course where you will come away with your own Radio Presenting CD to use when applying for jobs. The aim of the course is to create a 2-3 minute CD Showreel of your presenting skills. Learn how to write radio links for commercial or talk radio. Your tutor will coach you on your presenting techniques focusing on vocal confidence and microphone control.

You can also choose from already prepared scripts:(sport & travel etc) to complete the running order of your showreel, which can contain music, links, news, travel and competitions.

Each participant gets their own CD copy to take home.

Your Tutors:

Melinda Lawler, Radio presenter whose credits include: Capital Radio, GLR and Xfm. Trained at the Guildhall school of Music and Drama, Melinda is an experienced actress and voice over artist. She also lectures in Music Culture and Music Production at the BCUC University in Buckinghamshire.



'Chris Lycett' your tutor has over 30 years experience working for BBC radio, spent 10 years at BBC radio 1, as editor and producer.

In 1984 Chris was responsible for the Radio 1 broadcast of 'Live Aid' in which he received a Sony Gold Award.



This course is an excellent opportuniy to learn music radio presentation skills taught by seasoned radio professionals who have over 20 years experience presenting Music + Talk radio.
